Roofers Walsall › Service Areas › Rushall
We are based in Walsall, ten minutes from Rushall. For active leaks in WS4 we are usually with you inside two hours. Roof repairs from £150, new roofs from £4,000. Call 24 hours, 7 days.
Rushall sits between Walsall and Aldridge, with most of its housing stock built between the 1940s and 1970s. The streets around Daw End Lane and Rushall Road are typical 1950s–60s semis, while the ground closer to the Daw End Branch Canal includes older properties, some going back to the Victorian era.
The 1950s–1960s semis are Rushall’s most common roofing job: concrete plain tiles, mortar verges and mortar ridges that crack in frost and let water in. Many have rear lean-to extensions with single-layer felt roofs that are well past their design life. Chimney stacks are mostly unused but rarely properly capped, and the lead apron flashings are typically the first to fail on these properties.
Older homes near the canal on Rushall Marsh occasionally have clay plain tile or nail-sick slate. The Shelfield estate to the north has 1960s–70s council-build housing with low-pitch interlocking tile and flat-roof outbuildings needing attention.
